History

The Company was founded in 1937 by the late Frederick Dennis Copeland following many years experience in the Industry. Initially it was situated in South East London whence it moved to Central London where it achieved considerable growth at ‘Colanol House’ Grays Inn Road where it traded for over twenty years from the early 1950’s until the early 1970’s. From these early beginnings and the subsequent period of growth and stability, the Company returned in 1974 to South East London and its present site at Woolwich.

Since this move, Copelands continues to expand its growth and service to the industry meeting the increasing demands of quality and legislation required in these environmentally conscious times. Whilst maintaining its original philosophy to provide a first class service, as a family Company which is still family orientated, Copelands is able to be very responsive to all individual requirements and market changes - with a particular ability to understand the close relationships that can be developed to ensure clients’ needs are accommodated.
